Bridal Veil Falls is located right off the Richardson Highway about 13 miles outside of Valdez. There is a large pull off along the highway and sign visible from the direction of driving to Valdez.
In summer you will need to float the Lowe just upstream and make your way to the other side. In winter, conditions can range from needing to raft across in calmer currents, to walking across through shallow water, or atop a snow bridge and frozen river.
Bridal Veil Falls is a main attraction for anyone driving to Valdez. The large waterfall is visible and impressive at any time of year.
Ice Climbing: Bridal Veil Falls is a WI5 rated ice climb. It's a 5-pitch climb to the top. It's shear size, and deep blue ice make it the prominence of Keystone Canyon. It's sister ice fall Greensteps is a close runner up.
