Ice Climbing
POS is located east of Valdez in Keystone Canyon off the Richardson Highway. Depending on conditions and vehicle, some trucks can drive off the highway down to the flat and park at the base of the icefall. Sometimes there is enough shoulder parking to park in front of it along the highway. Other times it may be best to park at the Bridal Veil Falls pullout and walk over to POS.
AboutPOS is a fun little climb when conditions are right. Rated WI3, sometimes the ice may be rotten or half in, it comes and rots off throughout the season. Most people anchor to the fir, on the top right side if only running one line.
