Getting There

You can reach Titan Chair by hiking back from roughly 10 miles from Valdez. Once reaching alpine the hike back stays in alpine and the only difficulties are cliffing out and possible glacier stream crossings as there is no set trail. Though hiking back is possible when choosing a proper route. As with most mountains around Valdez chartering a helicopter is also an option.

About

Titan Chair sits along the west side of Valdez Glacier. It's free of snow well enough to hike from early July through end of September.

History

Titan Chair is a descriptive name given to the mountain as it has a large bowl south of its peak with a steep scree field that drops into another bowl. As though it's a chair carved out of the mountain in which a titan could sit.
