History

Transliteration by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) of "M(ys) Bukhty," given by Sub-Lt. Mikhail Murashev in 1839 or 1840 and published in 1849 on Russian Hydrographic Dept. Chart 1425. Baker (1906, p. 199), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), published the translation, "Cove Point."
