History of Mount Emmerich

So named by the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1897. According to E. G. Robertson, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the local name is Cathedral Peak, "because of the mountain's prominence and cathedral like appearance."
