Heading in Canada at 593000N, 1363900W, approximately 12 mi NW of Mount Henry Clay and flowing SE and E, across the international boundary, toward the Klehini River, 1.8 mi. W of Pleasant Camp and 39 mi. W of Skagway, St. Elias Mts.

History

Local name published by A. H. Brooks and others (1918, pl. 8). It was named for "Inspector Jarvis" of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
