About

In Glacier Bay National Monument, , 2 mi. S of Gilbert I., extending S and SE from Hugh Miller Inlet to a point 2.5 mi SE of Red Bed Peak, 57 mi. NW of Hoonah, St. Elias Mts. 7 miles long.

History

Named in 1937 for the Carpentier Glacier that, along with Favorite Glacier, once occupied this inlet. Its area was formerly occupied by Charpentier and Favorite Glaciers.
