Blinn Lake serves as a sea base for float planes.
According to a 1985-86 Fishery Survey Blinn Lake is 106 acres (43 hectares), with a max depth of 43ft (13.1 meters), and a pH of 7.3. It contains four small islands.
Arctic char, and coastrange sculpin can be found in Blinn Lake.
Brown bears are found alder groves often sleeping after feeding on berries and sedges around the lake. Wolves can also be found around the lake but can be difficult to spot. October through May it is possible to spot caribou around the lake.
