About

10 mi. S of mouth of Tenakee Inlet, on SE coast of Chichagof I., 59 mi. NE of Sitka, Alex. Arch. 0.7 mile long.

History

Named in 1935 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) for Little Basket Bay into which it drains. It was important in the fish-stocking program in southeastern Alaska at that time .
