History of Svensen Rock

Named "Swenson Rock" in 1895 by Lieutenant Commander Moore, U.S. Navy (USN); published by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) on Chart 8283. Baker (1906, p. 609), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), changed the name to "Svensen," the usual spelling of this Swedish proper name.
