The largest of the Pribilof Islands St. Paul Island only has one town, Saint Paul. But there is still plenty to do on an island in the middle of the Bering Sea. One of the main draws to Saint Paul Island is the wildlife. With massive bird migration and rookeries, as well as half a million northern fur seals. With flowering tundra and volcanic landscapes it has an appeal to match Iceland.
There are gravel roads along the south and west edges of the island, and trails along the west, northwest, middle and northeast portions to get around the island. For the preservation of vegetation and solace of wildlife traveling off trails and roads frowned upon.

It's highly suggested that you bring rain gear on your visit to St. Paul Island. When going for walks in nice weather bring a jacket with you in case the weather changes while you're out.
Early in June 1786, G. G. Pribilov left some hunters on St. George Island with provisions for the winter. A year later, on June 29, 1787 (Old Style (O.S.) calendar), an unusually clear atmosphere permitted the promyshleniki to see another large island 30 miles northward which they named "Saint Peter and Saint Paul," because it was the dedicated day of those two Holy Apostles. The first half of the name was soon lost in popular usage (Bancroft, 1886, p. 192 and 193).
