Bedstraw Hawk-Moths feed on fireweed usually around evening and are active until the morning hours.

Habitat & Range

Confirmed sightings include Fairbanks, Talkeetna, Valdez, Haines, Anchorage, and Wasilla.

They prefer sunny areas that hold heat well, such as forest edges, and can be found up to 8,900 ft in elevation. They are usually active through June and July in Alaska, with caterpillars emerging around August-September.
