History

Russian name published by Tebenkov (1852, map 26), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN) as "m(ys) Starichkov"meaning "Old Fellow Cape ." It was called "Cape Odd Fellows" by U.S. Bureau of Fisheries (USBF) in 1888, possibly due to a typographical error.
