on NE coast of Resurrection Peninsula, W side of Day Harbor, 12 mi. SE of Seward, Chugach Mts.

History

So named in 1928 by a U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) field party "because of the talus formation in the vicinity." Talus is an accumulation of rock fragments at the base of a mountain or cliff.
