Located along the W side of Eastern Passage on the N shore of Wrangell Island, 1.9 km (1.2 mi) SE of Channel Island and 21 km (13 mi) SE of Wrangell.
Named for trapper Earl West (c 1877-1965), a longtime resident of Wrangell Island who lived in a cabin on the east shore of the bay.
