In lava, 7.5 mi NNW of Kuzitrin Lake and 8 mi SSW of Imuruk Lake, Seward Peninsula High.
Reported in 1950 by D. M. Hopkins, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS); so named because while "mapping the (lava) flow in 1947, a member of the Geological Survey field party was separated from the remainder of the group and lost for nearly a day. "
