About

Two islands, the largest 0.3 mi. long, in Imuruk Lake, 4.7 mi. W of Kettle Dome, Seward Peninsula High.

History

Reported in 1953 by D. M. Hopkins, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS); islands so named "because they are the nesting place of a large colony of herring gulls."
