at junction of Mission Creek Yukon-Tanana High.
Local name given in the late 1890's; so named because of American eagles nesting there (Henning, 1965, p. 204). It was called "Boundary Butte" in 1883 by Lieutenant Schwatka (1885, p. 260), USA, because of its relationship to the Canada-Alaska boundary. Schwatka gives, the Indian name as "Ta-tot-lee."
