14 mi S of Northwest Cape and 0.2 mi W of the mouth to the Kitnepaluk Creek, in the central part of the W coast of Saint Lawrence Island.
HistoryEskimo name reported in 1949 by Major H. B. Allen, U.S. Air Force (USAF). recorded the name as "Savukhahak" at Gambell, in 1965, and reports it refers to "material for a harpoon head" which may in turn refer to artifacts from an old village site reported to be located near here.
