History of Natalia Bay

Named in 1934 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS), "in honor of Madame Natalia Shelikov, wife of Captain Grigori Ivanovich Shelikov, and his companion in all his travels * * *. After Shelikov's death in 1795, Madame Natalia succeeded him as manager of the Russian American Company."
