on N shore of Chernofski Harbor, SW coast of Unalaska I., Aleutian Islands.

History

Descriptive name given in 1937 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS), because, "Wood and mutton were shipped out of this locality by the sheep ranchmen, the only inhabitants. " The field party first called it "East Cove."
