Incomplete record, heads in Canada at 652400N1401000W at the foot of a glacier near the 140th meridian and flows SW across the international boundary to the Yukon River 25 mi upstream from the mouth of the Nation River, 15 mi. N of Eagle, Porcupine Plateau

Indian name reported in 1883 by Lieutenant Schwatka (1885, sheet. 7), USA, as "Tatondu River or Totondu River." In 1896 the name was reported as "Tatonduc" by Spurr (1898, p. 261), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
