flows SW to Karheen Passage at Karheen, Alex. Arch.
Tlingit Indian name, possibly from "ta-hin" meaning "salmon stream," reported in 1897 as "Ka-Hehe" by Lieutenant Commander J. F. Moser, U.S. Navy (USN). The present spelling was established by the name of a cannery formerly located at the stream's mouth. See Karheen.
