Heads in Fish Lake at 650427N, 1512110W, flows NW to the Tanana River 15 mi SE of Tanana, Yukon-Tanana High. 11 miles long.
HistoryName was probably given in 1902 by Lieutenant Gibbs, U.S. Army Signal Corps. The Tanana Indian ame "Guthna", meaning "Guth River", was recorded in 1899 by Herron (1901, p.454), USA. About 1908 usage applied the name "Boulder Creek" to the streams head. Cartographers compromised and used "Fish Creek" for the lower portion below Fish Lake and applied the name "Boulder Creek" above the lake, disregarding a Board on Geographic Names (BGN) decision of 1912, which made Boulder Creek tributary to the Tanana River.
