HistoryReported by Robert Marshall, after his 1930 trip, (1956, p. 46) who wrote, "to the southwest, about two miles along the divide on which I stood, was a very high mountain (later named Three River Mountain) which I imagined must be at the junction of the major rivers, the Anaktuvuk, North Fork, and John."
