History of Mount Hazelet

Named by C. R. Rachford, U.S. Forest Service (USFS), in 1927 for G. C. Hazelet, "an early outstanding pioneer of Alaska, who was largely responsible for development of the Katalla oil fields, which contain the only producing wells in Alaska."
