Located 4 km (2.5 mi) E of Roberts Mountain and 24 km (15 mi) N of Cape Mendenhall, on Nunivak Island. 0.1 mile wide.

History

Eskimo name for a small lake in a crater; reported in 1949 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) as "Ahkiwixnux." The present spelling is from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in 1952.
