In Mitchell Bay, on W coast of Admiralty I.5 mi. E of Angoon, Alex. Arch.

History

Named in 1869 by Commander R. W. Meade, U.S. Navy (USN); published in 1881 on Hydrographic Chart 882. Commander Meade indicates a probable island in this area, but recent maps show a peninsula instead of an island. The name does not appear on recent maps.
