About

one of Kudobin Is., 9 mi. W of village of Port Moller, Bristol Bay Lowlands. 23.5 kilometers long by 3 kilometers wide.

History

Named in 1882 by W. H. Dall, U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS). Captain Lutke (1836) referred to the island as "Volchie," meaning "wolf," name now applied to the eastern tip of this feature.
