Named by Lieutenant Sarichev (1826, map 3), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), and shown as lying southwest of Nagai Island by Admiral von Krusenstern (1827, map 20), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN). The island cannot be identified at the present time.
