History of Romer Glacier

Named in 1923 by Lawrence Martin, U.S. Dept. of State, for Eugeniusz Romer, 1871-1954, Professor of Geography at the University of Lemberg in Lemberg (now Lviv), in the former Austro-Hungarian Empire, and now part of Ukraine, and who visited Glacier Bay in 1913.
