About

Nelchina Glacier heads on the north side of the Chugach Mountains, with Mt. Siegfried, Mt. Valhalla, Mt. Fafnir on its western fork and , Audubon Mountain on its eastern fork. It trends north to its terminus at head of Nelchina River, 15 miles south of Eureka.

History

Local name reported in 1914 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) (Brooks and others, 1915, pl. 6).
