Incomplete record. In Saint Elias Mountains, heads at 593700N, 1383900W, flows north-northwest to Nunatak Fiord 56 km (35 mi) northeast of Yakutat, St. Elias Mountains. 17 miles long.
Named "Nunatak" by Israel Cook Russell (1892, p. 86), in 1891, because, from a distance, East and West Nunatak Glaciers had the appearance of a single glacier with a nunatak or rounded butte of bare rock rising through it. The glacier has retreated seven miles, completely uncovering the nunatak. To the northeast is East Ninatak Galier, the other arm is West Nunatak Glacier.
