at mouth of Lituya Bay, in Glacier Bay National Monument, 0.4 mi. NW of Harbor Point, 88 mi. NW of Hoonah, Malaspina Coastal Plain. 1 mile long.

History

Called "la Chaussee" meaning "the road" by La Perouse (1786, Atlas). On the English edition of his chart (map 19) it is designated as "Road to the Fishery and Morai." "Morai" means "burial place."
