History of Fenimore Rock

Named in 1936 by the U. S. Navy Hydrographic Office for the U. S. S. Fenimore Cooper, one the ships of the North Pacific Exploring Expedition of 1855. Name published by the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in the 1944 Aleutian Coast Pilot (p. 104).
