HistorySettlement reported in 1920 as Riley Creek, perhaps in a slightly different location than the present place. The Riley post office was established in 1922 and its name changed to McKinley Park the same year (Ricks, 1965, p. 40). Its population was listed as 49 in the 1930 census.
