HistoryLocal name reported in 1916 by G. C. Martin, (in Brooks and others, 1917, pl. 17) U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). In 1915, the stream had been named North Fork (Elsie Creek), on the General Land Office (GLO) Bureau of Land Management (BLM) survey plat of the township, but local usage preferred Eva Creek.
