probable anabranch of Yukon River, heads 4.5 mi. S of Blade I., at 613100N1615400W, flows NW to Yukon River at Dogtooth Bend, 19 mi. W of Marshall, Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta.

History

Local name reported by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in 1916. U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) gives the Eskimo name "Nookak" for this stream. So called because reindeer were corralled near its mouth about 1900.
