Heading in the Brooks Range at Okpilak Glacier and flowing N to the E side of Camden Bay, near the W end of Arey Island, where it has a delta in common iwht the Hulahula River which lies to the W, Romanzof Mts, Arctic Plain.
HistoryReported by E. de K. Leffingwell (1919, p. 98) to be an Eskimo word meaning "no willows." Leffingwell explored to the stream's head in May 1907 with H. T. Arey.
