HistoryThis stream was considered the "Kuskokwim River" by Lieutenant J. S. Herron, USA, in 1899. River" on a map prepared in 1910 by A. G. Maddren, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Indian name reported by Gordon (1917, p. 105) in 1907 was "Tichinnik."
