Heads at 603555N, 1635200W, flows W to Kolavinerak River, 10.5 km (6.5 mi) NE of Emperor Island. 22 miles long.

History

This stream was named for Frank Amadeus, trapper, prospector, and "long-time resident of the area." The Amadens spelling is a typographical error that has been perpetuated. U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) reported in 1949 the Eskimo name as "Kinarak", meaning "something to look through."
