Heads at 603000N 1603200W in the SW part of the Kilbuck Mountains, flows NW to the Kwethluk River 6 mi upstream from its junction with the Kuskokwim River, 20 mi. SE of Bethel, Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta. 40 miles long.

History

Reported to be an Eskimo word mening "the one between." Reported in 1948 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS).
