Local name published in 1900 on US@C&GS Chart 9380; reported in 1927 as Conical Hill by Captain Beechey (1831, map facing p. 328), Royal Navy (RN). In 1852 it was called Konicheskaya Sopka, meaning Conical Volcano, by the Russian Hdrog. Dept.
