About

At the head of Outpost Creek, on the W side of Tuluga River, 27 mi SE of Umiat, Arctic Slope.

History

Named by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) geologists in 1945 during exploration of Naval Petroleum Reserve No. 4. The Eskimo name according to T. E. Taylor, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), is "Natvaksukruk."
