History of Omicron Hill

So named by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) geologists in 1950 "because this designation was used for their triangulation marker U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) situated atop this hill" (Chapman and Sable, 1960, p. 54).
