About

15 mi. S of Mount Sanford, Wrangell Mts.

History

Named by the Russians for Baron von Wragell; reported in 1885 by Lieutenant Allen (1887, p. 57), USA, however it appears that he named this same mountain "Tillman" for Samuel Escue Tillman, professor at United States Military Academy at West Point.
