About

On the Alaska-Canada boundary, 4 mi SE of Mount Wade, 42 mi. NE of Yakutat, St. Elias Mts.

History

Named in 1923 for Right Honorable Sir Michael H. Herbert (1857-1903), British Ambassador to the United States during the early part of Alaska Boundary Tribunal, who signed and also assisted in framing the treaty by which the tribunal was created.
