In the Alaska Range, 7 mi NW of Mount Hayes, 45 mi. SW of Delta Junction, and 85 mi SSE of Fairbanks.

History

Named by T. L. Pewe for Dr. James Louis Giddings (1909-1964), dendrochronologist and outstanding Alaskan archeologist, who did some of his pioneer study work in the foothills of this mountain.
