History of Fourmile Hill

Local name published in 1956 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). So named because it is 4 miles east-southeast of the junction of the Delta and Tanana Fivers. In 1951 the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the hill was called "Fivemile Hill."
