About

NE-SW trending group of ridges between Kandik and Nation Rivers, 14 mi SW of Indian Grave Mountain and 48 mi NNW of Eagle, Porcupine Plateau

History

So named in 1965 by Earl Brabb, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), because "the mountains are comprised of parallel ridges, either flat-topped or with flat benches near the top that look like steps at a distance."
